Ages 2 – 3 years / 1:6 Teacher-to-Student Ratio
The Toddler Program at Montessori of Ladera Ranch provides children ages 24 to 36 months with a warm, nurturing introduction to Montessori education. With a ratio of one teacher for every six children, our teachers can provide the individualized attention, reassurance, and guidance young children need during this important stage of development.
Through hands-on Practical Life activities and developmentally appropriate Sensorial materials, toddlers strengthen coordination, concentration, language, independence, and confidence. Children begin learning how to make purposeful choices, care for their environment, and complete simple tasks independently.
Grace and courtesy are gently incorporated throughout the day, especially during morning snack and lunchtime. Children practice important social skills such as waiting, sharing, using kind words, and showing respect for others.
Potty training is also an important part of our Toddler Program. Our teachers work closely with each family to provide a consistent, positive, and supportive experience based on the child’s readiness.
The program thoughtfully prepares children for a confident transition into our Montessori Preschool Program. Because MOLR has only one Toddler classroom, a limited number of spaces are available each year.
